Introduction
Welcome to the Gainfully Comprehensive Course!
The box below outlines the knowledge, skills, and tools you’ll acquire through your job/internship search journey.
STRUCTURE
This course takes place on a learning management system (LMS) that allows you to move through the materials at your own pace. It consists of core lessons – see below under “Course Content” – that address important job search topics and contain articles, videos, activities and assignments along the way. Most of the lessons contain subsections called “topics.” Throughout the course, you’ll also find embedded videos, links to articles and other resources, quizzes that test your understanding of course material, and activities and assignments designed to improve your job search readiness and materials (e.g., resume, elevator pitch, etc.).
Be sure to work through all elements of each lesson. (Note: once you’ve moved beyond this first lesson, the course content (lessons and topics) will be displayed in a column on the left-hand side of the screen.)
NAVIGATION
After logging in through the Gainfully main page, you will land on the “Your Courses” page that displays the course(s) you’ve signed up for. This is how you will navigate to your course each time you log in.
Once you click through to your course, a navigation bar will appear at the top of the page, showing your progress through the course. Beneath the navigation bar you’ll see the “Resume Course” button, which will bring you back to where you left off.
